To be Free

I have had enough of these frustrations

I think it is time to fly

To let loose and soar

To be free.

I am tired of all these chains

That hold me here

I just want to be me.

I don't want to believe what they say

Not even for a minute

I just want to run.

I should have known by the look

In your eyes that something was missing

But I didn't listen.

 I meant every word I said

I love you and I always will

You told me our love would last forever,

How could you just walk away?

Didn't I mean anything to you?

Maybe it's too late

I just wish something would take

Away this emptiness

This pain I feel inside

I just feel like I am going to die.
